My Fashion Creatives

Slavic Beauty lost in the Forest or 'Russkaja Krassaviza'
This is probably one of my most memorable and fun shoots ever!! It was one of the crazy projects, my sister and I organize for our self-development and artistic expression! Yes, we still play dress up, but now we do it as professionals (we build a look and we take turns shooting each other, if you want to see my photos of her, you can check them out soon Inessa's Photography page)! Iddie made this amazing head-piece (it was inspired by Princesses in Kievskaja Rusj) and I did the rest of the styling, inspired by Antique Slavic and Byzantin culture! It was about -7 that day, so my nose was red from the cold and my hand were freezing, so I had to re-touch my make-up several times! To make it worse I fell off the tree :)) and was all covered in snow! However, we shot everything in about 20 minutes and had so much fun, that I probably will never forget this shoot with my little sis!

Russian Princess or Waiting for the Snow
The story behind this shoot was quite funny, because in my vision, it required snow, but unfortunately there was barely any snow that month in Canada! In fact, I wanted to shoot a modern version of Russian fairytale Princess, so I made Kokoshnik (Russian traditional crown) and matching tasseled earrings <3 chose the styling and was waiting for a big snowfall! However, the snow never came, so we ended up shooting on my last day in Canada on an antique house porch! I shot this with my sister, just a couple of hours before my flight, it was all very rushed, but very exciting! I styled the traditional accessories with a little pale pink cocktail dress, a big vintage furry coat and high boots! I wanted an old country glamour feel with a touch of nostalgia and I think it turned out quite interesting! Now, I am kind of glad there was no snow, because the old porch turned out to be a quite narrative setting for this story!

Forty's Glam
This Editorial was inspired by 40s glam, it was sort of post-war and I was imagining myself all dressed up by the sea, waiting for my sailor to come back home, maybe eve from the war! I wanted the look to be simple, but glamorous in details! <3 In fact, I chose a black longuette dress and concentrated on details like a little hat, a fur bolero, little lace gloves, feminine shoes and accessories! I did not want to look like I came out from the 40's movie, but I wanted to bring back the femininity of those days into the modern fashion world!

Intimates
This was a test we shot at my place, because I needed some photos in lingerie for my agencies. It was winter time, so out was quite cold and I thought that shooting at home would give the photos, that desperate housewife vibe!

Sea Princess
I just love the feel of this editorial, it is airy, windy and wild, but somewhat glamorous and Princessy, at the same time! I just love to play on contrasts, so I decided to style everything in very feminine white lace and fur, but with golden rock'n'roll accents! We shot this on a windy, sunny day of October, so the sea looked wild and beautiful! I felt like a Princess who came out of a boat crush and found herself on a deserted beach!

Corpse Bride
I love this one, because this was a very girly shoot, so styling and shooting it was sooo much fun! <3<3<3 I got to make the little lace gloves, the necklace and the green bracelets! My girlfriend Svetlana, who shot the editorial, gave me this amazing skirt, I found a vintage 'La Perla' body and a little lace jacket from H'n'M. We added flower crowns, aqua-green faux fur bollero and matching pumps! The look turned out amazing, it had flowers crowns, lace transparencies and a pops of color, practically everything a girly girl would love, but with an edgy bohemian feel! <3.
Initially, we wanted to shoot at the cemetery, but we figured it would attract way too much unwanted attention in a small little beach town like ours and we did not want to scandalize anybody, so we figured that we needed another location! We found it right behind my place, along the canal, that we made to look like a muddy pond, where our corpse bride came to life! <3

Rocking All Black Rock Star Glamour
Here I was in need of a Host head-shots, the event combined fashion and music, so I decided to style it in a sequence black tuxedo, but replacing the classic white shirt with a black, lacy 'La Perla' body! Yes, I wanted the All Black Rock Star Look, something glamorous, but a provocative edge!

All That Glitter.. Dress and Party like a Mermaid <3
What girl doesn't like to shine or feel like a Mermaid?! This was a festive editorial for a sparkling party look! Here, I combined two sequence skirts into a little two-piece! I added a swarowski elements sparkling bracelet as a choker and a little shiny and black leather bomber to complete the look! I wanted to create a feel of a post prom-party night, one of those nights that you never want to end, so end up at the beach watching the sunrise in your sparkling outfit! You know that your hair is all ruined from dancing and make up is smudged, but you do not care, because life is beautiful and you forever remember those days!

All that Glitter Rock & Roll
This editorial was shot to show off the makeup and jewelry for party nights out! I decided to focus on the eyes and eyebrows making them dark and glittery, while keeping the lips naturally light! I choose glittery golden accents for the jewelry and set it on the black lace ad leather!

Blog Outfit Shoot
This was my first 'official' blog shoot! It was at the beginning of my collaboration with Carlo Pelliccioni, who had to bare with me directing him to shoot all the details! I made him shoot the shoes and purse close-ups to show the 'product'! Poor Carlo, but he was such a great sport!

Catalog Style Basics
I just love this look, every model-actress needs a boy collar shirt look in her book! However, we decided to take this male-inspired ensemble outside and shoot it catalog style! I like the first set of three, but Carlo Pelliccioni wanted to experiment with some crazy editing shades on the last two, so I included those in the set as well (even though, I am not crazy about all those shady spots, lol)! Gotta respect your collaborators and keep them happy!

Posh Hippy
This was a very crazy shoot, as there was an insane wind that day and the brightest sun! My hair was everywhere (and as you can see I ended up braiding it), my eyes were watering and my dress was flying, so we had to work hard to manage it all, but the results turned out amazing! I am very proud of these, as you can tell the gray vest headshot is on my avatar!
Thanks Carlo Pelliccioni for your amazing frames!

Swan Lake in The Sea or Fashionable Ballerinas <3
This is probably one of my favorite shoots ever. However, the risk of styling a shoot in tutus is that can easily become a costume, instead of fashionable outerwear! Carlo Pelliccioni, our very talented photographer friend, was great at shooting this, as he totally over-exposed the background, bring us and the clothing in the first plane!
Under The Cuban Sun
These are the photos I took during my Cuban vacation. I did not art direct any of these images or fashion styled them, I just captured what I lived. It's the way I experienced Cuba from white sand beaches to colonial Havana tour.

Retro-Inspired Swimsuit Model:
Who does not love 90's supermodels, so this came out on a family vacation in Cuba, when my mami decided to snap some photos of me in my retro-bathing suit. I loved the colors of this mini-set and decided to include them as they came, plain raw, as photos used to be before the photoshop and re-touching came along!

I call these Cuban Bedlands and I felt like being some sort of glamour wild animal, while shooting these (yes, my family is used to my artsy craziness).

Country Girl:
Filippo loves glamour and I knew that working with him would make me look smocking hot! However, I love a good fashion story, so we choose fishermen's wooden houses as our setting and played up a sexy country girl, who dreams of city glamour!

Canadian Summers:
The idea here was to show an American-Canadian Sweet Country Girl. I wanted the styling to be simple, but girly and romantic. Junichi, who is also an art director, videographer and photographer took care of capturing the story through his reportage lense and a softness of summer sunshine!
