Yesterday the fashion world has lost one its most talented designer, Oscar de la Renta, passed away at the age 82!  It’s funny how just yesterday, I was looking at his runway picture standing beside Karlie Kloss and I was thinking, how talented is this man and how I wish to, one day, wear one of his creations!

This Dominican Republic native, had moved to Spain at the age of 18 to study at the l’Accademia di San Fernando and later to France, in order to work for Lanvin, Balmain and soon conquer the world under his own name!

Oscar de la Renta, already in the sixties won the admiration of many famous women, starting from  legends like Elizabeth Arden and Jackie Kennedy!

Today, celebrities like Cameron Diaz, Penelope Cruz, Sarah Jessica Parker and even Oprah choose his creations for their major events!

Even George Clooney’s bride, Amal Alamuddin, intrusted Oscar de la Renta to design her wedding gown for what was one of the major celebrity weddings of the year!

This man is a fashion legend, who truly knew how to many any girl look and feel truly beautiful! ❤
