Winter holidays in Vegas, why not?! ππ«π£π₯π It’s actually the best time to visit the sin city, as it gets festive, the sales are on and weather is perfect for exploring (yes, try walking around people packed city built in a dessert in the middle of summer, no thanks, I would just chill by the pool, instead)!
There is something for everyone in the Sin City; apart from the casinos, its notorious night life and ‘ladies’, it has numerous shows to enjoy and hotel sites to visit! In fact, every hotel on Vegas Strip has a theme and offers something interesting to experience!
You will find Eiffel Tower and a giant airbaloon on the outside of ‘Paris’ Hotel, as well as numerous cafes, little French theme stores and luxury French legends like Baccarat crystals (would love to get their chandelier one day, but for now I have to contempt myself with just some red guest glasses π·π·π·, as these go for about $350 a piece)! ππ
Another city theme hotel is ‘The Venetian’ , can you guess what it looks like?! Well, yes, Venice of course, with its channels and gondolas and fake blue sky on the inside (I have to say the painted blue sky really repulsed me the first time I saw it in Vegas, but now I take as part of the La la land props, as you will find it in several hotels)! βββ
Apart from the fake sky ‘The Venetian’ is quite beautiful and impressive, especially on the outside at night with all the lights and its relaxing in atmosphere! π
‘Flamingo’, where we stayed is the most historical hotel on the strip! It has been recently renovated so the rooms are pretty nice, spacious and clean! Our view was not the best, but we saw the fares-wheel. Be prepared that hotel charges you extra $39/night/room for stay services like wifi and gym, but we were later told that all hotel on the strip do it these days!
We actually loved ‘Flamingo’s‘ pink theme and the beautiful garden with giant fish, birds and live flamingos! It was a refreshing break from all casinos and slot machines surrounding you in every hotel lobby in the city! π
The best hotel on the Vegas Strip is probably ‘Bellagio’ , remember the fountain scene in Ocean’s 11, where Julia Roberts is meeting Brad Pitt and George Clooney?! Yes, every night you can enjoy the fountain show, which is quite impressive!Β However, the true must see beauty of ‘Bellagio’ is its ‘Fiori di Como’Β ceiling of 2000 Murano hand-blown glass flowers (made by Dale Chihuly and worth approximately $10 000 000) right in the hotel lobby! π
The funnest part of visiting ‘Bellagio’Β over winter holidays is its Christmas Village π«ππ with giant toys, Snow Ball, Fake Snow Blowing Tunnel, decorations made from fresh flowers and a giant Christmas tree. ππππ
Another must visit in Las Vegas is ‘Caesar Palace’ Hotel with its giant aquarium, the coolest art gallery Martin Lawrence (make sure to check it out, because where else you can find quite a collection of Chagall, Picasso, DalΓ¬, Warhol and Murashami all for sale) and the my favourite shopping plaza in Vegas!Β Here, you can find everything from Chanel and Fendi to Victoria Secret and Guess! πππ
I love shopping in Vegas, especially during sale season! Make sure to visit Victoria Secret store, as it has the runway pieces collection for sale and wings displayed in the windows! Also pop into Michael Kors, where you just might get offered free champagne and check out Kate Spade (Juicy Couture type new American brand that I recently discovered).
And when you are tired and need to take a break from shopping, buy an ice-cream cone and enjoy your gelato in front of Caesar’s Forum Fountain of Gods! ππ
