Getting in Shape for Summer Time

Soo summer is coming and so is bikini season, everyone I know is trying to diet or work out! πŸŒŠβ˜‰ So they summer body is build in winter, but I say start now and get yourself in best shape now! πŸ’ͺπŸ’£πŸ’₯


I am not a fitness addict or a professional trainer, but I have been working out most of my life, so here is what I have learned! πŸ’₯πŸ’£πŸ’₯


I got signed by an agency at the age of 15 and started working out seriously at about that age! My first workout routine started at home with Cindy Crawford’s exercise video ‘The Next Challenge’, if you are new to working out and plan to do it home, check it out!

I still consider it one of the best workout videos out there, as it works your entire body and gets you in shape fast!!


‘Ballet Beautiful’ is another set of mini 15-20 min videos by Mary Helen Bowers (this girl trains Victoria Secret models to get those toned, beautiful physique)! The video are perfect to tone up the problem areas, asΒ  they are based on ballet movements, that work on specific muscle groups! πŸ’—πŸ’πŸ’—

So, if you naturally muscly and bulky or thin and just need to elongate and tone up your body these are perfect! In fact, being a model, I do not want to build big muscles, but I do want a tone, healthy body! πŸ’


If you need to build muscle do weight training; circuit training done at the gym, that alternate weights, free body exercises and 2 min cardio are the best! These let you work your muscles, get strong and fit! I will be doing a post on my circuit training and what I do, but remember I am a pretty tall girl, so my muscles are long and therefore are not easy to go bulky! If you are on a shorter side, weight lifting will tone you up, but will also make you bulkier so opt for something like power pilates and cardiovascular training! πŸ’ͺπŸ’£πŸ’₯


If your main goal is to loose weight forget crazy dieting, just eat healthy (sweets only in the morning, no fried foods, no big portions and never 3 hours before sleep -I will do an eating post, as well) and stay active ! πŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒπŸ’ƒ Aerobic training is important, but unless you are a runner, you do not need to run (it is heavy on the heart and damages the ligaments), so I never encourage it!Β  πŸ’— Best options are jogging or fast-walking on fresh air (at least 40-60 min walks, because you start burning fat only after 20 min of movement). πŸ’₯πŸ’₯πŸ’₯ It is great to add some jumps, jumping-jacks, side-jumps, lunge-jumps, high-kicks or whatever you like for 1-2 min, every 5 minute of fast walk! This will get your blood-pumping, speed up the heart rate and sure will make it more fun! Of course, you can also bike, Rollerblade or swim (swimming is great for toning up and loosing weight)!


I personally train try to train 3 times a week now! I do weight circuit training at the gym 1 a week to build muscles, power pilates 1 a week to get strong and improve elasticity and swim 1 week to keep in shape and be toned! I find that variety of exercise combo is less boring and gets me the best results! However, no matter what you choose to do, just get out there and do it! Start today, whatever you like doing best and grow from there!Β  πŸ’₯πŸ’£πŸ’ͺπŸ’₯ Remember always to start your workouts with 5 min warm ups and end with stretching to let rid of lactic acid!
